500g Margarine 250ml Sugar 10ml Salt 500ml Buttermilk 15ml Baking powdercg 1¼ l Bran 250ml Dessicated Coconut ½ Cup mixed seeds – optional (I use sunflower -, lin -, poppy -, and sesame seeds) 3 Eggs 60ml Sunflower Oil Melt Margarine and add the sugar, salt and buttermilk. Sift the flour and baking powder and then add the bran, coconut and seeds. Mix the eggs and oil and add to Margarine mix. Make a well in the middle of the dry ingredients and pour the Margarine mix into the well. Put into 2 large oiled bread pans and slice into blocks. Bake 20 minutes at 190°C and then turn the heat down to 180°C and bake for another 40 minutes. Break into blocks on the cut lines. Dry for about 8 hours at 50°C.
